"By The Hands Of Love" De Profundis Print

MoLI has collaborated with Dublin-based letterpress studio One Strong Arm to create a beautiful print inspired by Oscar Wilde’s De Profundis.

Set on pale blue paper echoing the hue Wilde’s manuscript, the A3 print features the iconic line:  “...if the worlds have indeed, as I have said, been built out of Sorrow, it has been by the hands of Love, because in no other way could the Soul of man, for whom the worlds are made, reach the full stature of its perfection.”

Hand-printed using wooden type in two colours, the print includes a blind emboss and a recreation of Wilde’s signature.
